One of my favourite parts of writing my novel was the ridiculous footnotes I got to put in it.
The image shows two footnotes on page 124 of my novel. Footnote #52: A lot of this chapter is talking about feet, so I wanted to make a play on words with “footnote”, but I’ve got nothing. Footnote #53: Technically, crossdressing is different from drag, and this is a chase, not a race. So RuPaul can’t say I stole his idea. Then again, RuPaul’s Drag Chase would be a pretty good name for a dating show spin-off of Drag Race. Fun fact: Googling “RuPaul’s Drag Chase” to see if it already exists brings up nothing but articles about one of the Drag Race judges being arrested at a Chase Bank. This footnote has been a bit of a journey." Image shows another footnote from page 159 of my novel. Footnote #64: Okay, more feet discussions. We get a second shot at this pun! How about: "Stationary? Feet? Must be a footnote!" No, that's no good. I'll get back to you.
