I'm Coyt, and I'm breaking down and studying all facets of one of the oldest and greatest characters in comics: Dick Grayson, aka Nightwing!

Zanni is the most interesting thing a writer has done with a Nightwing villain since The Judge

We already are 😔

Such a great issue, I recommended it to a friend who's just getting into comics, and Donna is now one of her favorite characters.

The more I've learned about the editorial environment at DC back then, the more impressed I've been with Kyle Higgins doing so well with Nightwing.

I'm around 13k on there right now I think, peak was around 14k. But I don't care much about tons of followers, I just like talking to the people I've met and become acquaintances or friends with.

I locked my account on there but left it up so people who were still following could use it as a resource. But I hate the idea of that piece of garbage training his AI on my words.

iirc Snyder and Higgins were pretty tight in the early 2010s. You had Batman Black Mirror, Gates of Gotham, and then them on Batman and Nightwing.

Not the same as a friend following their close friend on the same book, but they collaborated a lot.

I've been wanting Nightwing to dig a little more into the Kryptonian background for years, so I'm loving this.

A couple years ago I binged all of the original series and the original cast movies. It was a fun time. I really liked season one of Strange New Worlds as well, but I haven't kept up with it since canceling Paramount+.

Also a big fan of Robert Venditti and Bryan Hitch's take on Carter Hall/Hawkman. Less bloodthirsty barbarian/conservative counter to GA (which is really more Katar Hol), and more Indiana Jones with superpowers.

#1. Dick Grayson/Nightwing
#2. Oliver Queen/Green Arrow
#3. John Constantine

Though I acknowledge calling Constantine a hero is extremely generous, and he works best separate from the tights and capes.

So, alternatively:

#3. Jay Garrick/The Flash

I actually haven't read it 😅

I'm pretty behind on most comics except the solo Nightwing series, but I've heard Titans isn't great rn. My good friend just told me I had to read the annual and I'm very glad I did

The great thing is that it was written and drawn by Phil Jimenez, not the regular writer. He's got a stellar history with the Titans and Donna.

I can't think of many other books that feel as mean-spirited. I enjoy comics with a dark tone when there's a point to it, this kind of stuff is edge for edge's sake.

Been out of it for a while but thinking about getting back in myself. I know the current Nightwing and Green Arrow books are my vibe.
