I think the big commercial stand mixers in restaurants and other food establishments are still made by Hobart. They look like the KA home versions, but are massively bigger. Built to last.

Those might be okay. I know the stand mixers were made by Hobart back in the day, but not now. I don't know much about the other stuff. Before I downsized I had a KA Pro food processor. It started having issues and I got rid of it. Just have my 37 year old Cuisinart which works fine still.

I don't think the newer ones are made by Hobart, and it shows. The older ones like ours, last much, much longer.

My KitchenAid stand mixer is about 46 years old now. Still working well.

Have Medicare myself. It's better than it was before. Couldn't get anything before if you had anything classified as pre-existing. Just doesn't compare. I remember. I couldn't get insurance anywhere.
