everyone who know you knows your value, and it's high

(I can't judge "posting only" people, I just have no idea what that does. for all I know it's a lot.)

if someone tells me they're doing what they can (and they aren't talking about "posting only") I know they're doing more than almost anybody else

at the risk of repeating myself too much, people think they need to lead the revolution but what if, instead, you organized a choir or learned your next door neighbour's name. by itself it doesn't change the world overnight, but the world-changing work isn't possible without this kind of thing first

"commit to working towards something" includes things are not immediately electoral-politics related and for sure includes taking a bit of a break so you have energy for your next big thing (I'm doing the latter atm)

"support our vision of a better future not being possible! 🧡 ✨" go to hell

what options do we have? give up or commit to working towards something. those are the only two that come to my mind

eh we’ll see. there is always reason to have hope. consider the dozen or so shake ups that took place in both provincial and federal politics in the past 20 years no one could have predicted a year or so before they happened

(but I agree with you, the kind of horse-trading a minority typically needs is a good opportunity to govern in a way that addresses more people’s needs)

the lesson Carney will take away from today is that he can count on the NDP wanting to save their own skin and govern as though he has a majority (sadly)

2 NDP abstentions … you gotta do what you gotta do to survive, doesn’t mean I have to be impressed
