Voters wanted a change from the status quo. Harris failed to do so because Dems cannot offer any meaningful change without a progressive shift, and tacking to the right does nothing but legitimize the right. And they will always outflank the left on those issues.

Your vote matters, but don’t ever let it be taken for granted, lest your party never looks back. This election rests solely on the democrat’s shoulders. It is their responsibility to earn their voters. I pray that they start trying to do that, instead of the past decade of defensive voting strategy.

Harris didn’t lose because she was a woman. She lost because she ran a center right campaign with a Dick Cheney endorsement when people were screaming for a change from democrats. She took progressive voters for granted while refusing to listen to them at any stage.

It ultimately doesn’t matter whether or not inflation is down, or if our economy is growing if voters feel otherwise. Regardless of the truth, if you do not offer a solution to the rage and anger people feel in their everyday lives then fascists will use that to claw into reactionary attitude.

I just hope that the DNC can learn the correct lessons for once. The answer is not tacking to the right further, it’s about offering real alternatives to Trump’s lies. I still believe that voters do not want trumpism, but many people are not seeing any other solutions to their everyday problems.

The Harris’s campaign strategy to move to the right was a disgraceful move that took her base for granted while capitulating to people who were never voting for her. Why vote for right wing dem policy when you can just vote for republicans? They chased a constituency that didn’t exist.

We were excited for the Harris switch because of the promise that democrats were doing something different for once. We wanted to see her deviate from the Biden administration. As soon as she revealed that she would not move away from him at all, all enthusiasm was lost.
