Yep! That’s my current boat. Only one more month of ministerial limbo 🙃 this being my first time, I’m discovering that this is one of those transitions where I have the same conversation a hundred times with 75 people

Except for the infamous problem that replying “stop” doesn’t actually stop anything. There’s a huge lack of transparency in who is contacting you and where that money actually goes. Pod Save America just did an interview with the CEO of ActBlue about it.

I wonder if the rest of the interview is just 30 minutes of him spouting different idioms. Hopefully he doesn’t start talking about his relationship with eggs…

Help old folks with tech needs - finding the right computers, helping them learn how to use their devices, installing adblockers to make scamming them more difficult, etc. I’ve gotten pretty good at it over the years.

lol last thing because people be misrepresenting Jesus Immanuel Christ a lot:

Mans loved people truly, hated when people abused their power; he was for the poor, hungry, unhoused, lonely, shamed, and everything in between, and really didn't mess with people didn't help those people out.

I wouldn’t know about the information itself, but I’m sure there are advocacy groups that have similar graphics to share.

Hotel in southern IL at the moment, very proud of myself for never turning on the television. First time for everything, I suppose. Reading Beth Allison Barr’s new book instead!

I don’t think Slotkin thinks Reagan to be the American standard of goodness. But he is that standard for the GOP, so I think her point was more to say “look how far you’ve fallen from when you had a shred of morality” (even if their morals were also corrupted in the Reagan era)

‘How many tears did it take to build that mansion; how many orphans were stripped; how many widows wronged; how many laborers deprived of their honest wages?’ Even death itself will not deliver you from your accusers.” - John Chrysostom

Oh, 100%. And this is yet another distraction from the real damage being done by his administration to dismantle the parts of the gov. that threaten the wealthy and help the poor.

We know we are made for freedom, and even when you stamp on us almost forever, as a tyrant you have had it and freedom will come, human beings will strive after something better. For we know inside us that we are made for the transcendent. - Desmond Tutu

...the genocide of Rwanda, and the genocide of Bosnia. Now if in fact humankind said all of these things were all right, then we should really worry. But the fact of the matter is that anybody standing up and saying “I support Nazism” would soon have most of the world turn against him...
