Eventually Consistent.

Pretending to be a Northerner, stealthily seeking asylum in Cumbria.

Soft left socialist bookworm, still occasionally hobbling over the fells and around a squash court.

Very happily partnered btw.
First snow photo of the year, Grisedale Pike over Keswick.

St Bega’s Church on the shores of Bassenthwaite. Apparently there are only four church’s dedicated to her in the UK, all in Cumbria. Masses of butterflies.

Last read Iris Murdoch's A Fairly Honourable Defeat in 1998, it's funnier and more dispiriting than I remembered, but pretty dated. Will have to re-read another, I loved her books in the past, but they have gone completely off my radar.

I enjoy the Hawthorne & Horowitz books, light but clever. There are no redeeming characters though, including Anthony Horowitz, which is pretty brave. Will still be buying the next one, and no doubt still feeling the same way.

Half a raised bed, and enough beans for dinner, very pleasing.
Lots of sun and lots of rain, make a happy bean.
