What is love?
Love is one of the most misunderstood emotions. We all believe in a fantasy that love is kind, patient, respectful, compassionate, and so on. Love is none of those things. The way your partner expresses love is solely dictated by their personality. If they are disrespectful, they will both love and disrespect you. If they are abusive, they will love and abuse you. If they are unkind, they will love you and still be unkind to you. This is just how life works. Love will not change their personality, well... only if they really want to.
