Saw none of it. Was on holiday in Paris with my first girlfriend.

Am now on holiday with my wife in Cornwall. Is it on, and am I missing it again?!

This phenomenon has become popular that on Trip Advisor, the "Bude Tunnel" is now in the top 4 things to do in that Cornish town.

So, weirdly, in Bude you would miss out on seeing one of the things that have been wrongly listed as an attraction, if you ignored the most popular attractions.

Having mulled on this, I wonder whether there's a "hearts and minds" aspect that needs to be considered.

In the old days (ie my youth), there would have been public information films - perhaps involving a cartoon ginger cat. Maybe we need a modern equivalent, that also avoids being too "judgy".

frustratingly, I thought it was going to be a word that Americans don't spell properly. So I had the ignominy of wrongly guessing that first.

Yes, in the past we had trouble with birds but didn't see who the culprits were.

I now cover them with a fine wire mesh once they've finished for the year too. I also tend to over-winter them in an outdoor shed - not least because we get so much rain down here.
