A great pleasure and honour to catch up with Louis Liebenberg, inventor of #CyberTracker. Louis recognised the extraordinary complexity of Indigenous Peoples knowledge of biodiversity during early work with !Xõó hunter gatherers in Botswana. He created a software system to help them generate data.

A lot happened at the 47th World Heritage Committee meeting in Paris. Of historic importance was the strong presence of Indigenous Peoples participating in deliberations and sharing their views on universal values, and the relationship between nature and culture. With Claudia Sanchez Flores 🇲🇽

Last week, CO-OP4CBD organised an excellent workshop on Indigenous Peoples and local communities under the Convention on Biological Diversity. @unesco.org was there to share our experience on working with scientists and ILK holders under @ipbes.net and @besnet.world We met in beautiful Trondheim.
