The most interesting part of Ms Graney's piece is Marciano's response. In his view, a meeting that the AER called to get "input" from the Minister's office (Marciano) turned into an opportunity for the AER to brief Marciano as to the AER's "broad powers of reconsideration"

I too am no fan of recall and citizen initiative laws, but if they're on the books then I have no sympathy with those in power (especially those who introduced such laws) who say they shouldn't be used against me.
