The previous set wasn't perfect, but it was nice. If you're going to change something, I'd rather it be a worthwhile change. Not just a not-so-subtle reach into fans' pockets for the sake of it.

So it's important to note (hah) that none of this looks outrageously bad. Its all hair splitting because the Blues' look is almost idiot proof.

However, among other thoughts, this is the worst backside to any jersey in Blues history.

This would have been really, really, really cool in 2008.

It's change for the sake of change that's demonstrably worse.

But you can't argue with the end result in a way, because the powder blue always will look nice.

St. Louis is my hometown, and IndyCar my favorite sport. I've got a lot of motivation to make sure everyone loves everything connecting the two.

But I'm not an insider, so maybe they did close those sections this year? But I can't imagine why they would!

I assumed the black sections of main grandstand have sold out/were bought up by vendors/corporate partners. I'm not positive, but it'd be a major decrease in attendance out of nowhere between 2024-2025 that they somehow predicted well ahead of time if black sections of main stand have no fans

I'm confused.

I've got tickets to this race this year, had them last year too. The entire grandstand in 2024 was used, and was pretty well packed.

The only tickets currently available are in the red and purple section. Red is assigned. Purple is General Admission.

That's the zoomed out view, which shows what sections have available seats. When I checked zooming in, it's like 1 or 2 seats available (red dots) in each section.

Assuming I'm reading this right on my phone.

As a local I call it Worldwide Technology Raceway (or just Worldwide) because every 3rd business in St. Louis metro is called "Gateway"
