Looking towards the constellation Perseus. This part of the Milky Way doesn't get photographed as often as the core but I like it because the view includes the Andromeda galaxy (upper-right) and the Pleiades (on the right side of the horizon). Seeing the Pleiades in the evening sky is a sure sign that winter is on the way.

Photo of "rattlesnake master" (Eryngium yuccifolium), a prairie plant. This specimen is growing in my yard. Not my best picture but it's the first one where I used darktable's new multi-preset export feature. My workflow had been to make a full size JPG from the image I'm working on and then change the settings to make an additional reduced-size version suitable for social media. And now with the multi-preset option and a sprinkling of variables in the target storage path, I can click once and like magic I get the two image exports in the right place on my file-system. Thanks again darktable developers!

Night sky partially obscured by clouds. I had hoped to get a photo with more planets but clouds and time worked against me. This photo does have Jupiter and Uranus, but Venus just set and Mars is out of the frame (above the top edge).
