Yeah. Capitulation is how we end up becoming like the UK where the "good" party simply adopts the identical positions on this issue as the "bad" party.

While this new low in The NY Times reporting may be what a lot of the general public wants today, an easy populist win by throwing a tiny vulnerable group under the bus, it won’t age well, as one of the commentators reflected:

The article dwells upon the (politicized and long since debunked) British review that led to inhumane cuts in gender affirming care in rhe UK, and fails to mention that the more recent and more professional reviews in France and Germany have supported these life saving medical services for minors.
