Neil is confirmed a survivor. Yet the question remains... what has he been doing between 1914 and 2025?

I've analyzed all the canon information and filled in most of the blanks. Read all this and more on... "FINDING NEIL"

Wow, if I had a nickel for every time Gordon took down a diesel in cancelled Thomas media, I’d have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

As for who'd be working the Ffarquhar Branchline in Thomas's abscence, obviously that'd be Toby.

He seems to be running the branchline all by himself, if the last two Coffeepots were either scrapped or still barely working the quarry tramroad. Percy'd likely still be with Thomas

-engines bossing him around again?

Though honestly, I can't see Gordon pushing Thomas around like he used to after their "alliance" in "Down the Mine."

Maybe Henry and James, but Gordon himself still bullied Duck around when he first arrived and even Percy too by 1955.

"Thomas's Christmas Party" also canonically takes place in-between the events of "Down the Mine" and "Paint Pots & Queens" at the end of 1952.

Thomas is allowed back on his branchline, but only temporarily, to help Toby with the Christmas traffic. It seems he hasn't quite -

T: "Here I got it."
P: "Woah, hey, what are you doing?"
T: "Don't worry about it!"
P: "Yeah, but be careful!"
T: "Why?"
P: "You don't know the yard like I do!"
T: "I. Got. It."

Imagine some dialouge between the two going like...

Percy was still Tidmouth station pilot at this time. He was since either 1949 or 1926. Depends on which you -

One often overlooked period... if not *completely* overlooked period of RWS history, is Thomas's own period of disgrace after falling down the mine.

This was between late 1952 and early-to-mid 1953. Thomas was of course punished for ignoring the danger sign, and falling into the

-goods depot *must* be relocated somewhere if they built the new engine sheds on the same site, in contradiction to Wilbert's trackplan.

But that's just my two cents. Take it as you will!

-consistent with his illustrations, he erronously pictures Knapford New without the bridge over the harbour, nor the original station site, quarry and alignment just in front of the tunnel mouth.

The high wharf is also pictured without rails where there should be.

What about the two sheds you see in Spong's illustrations? Well... tough cookie actually... you *can't* quite trust the illustrations, and despite Spong being mostly -

-disappeared before 1935? Could've been working the harbour! The harbour was likely still used by light river boats, as we also see one little barge helping with the wharf extension in 1955. ("Percy & Harold")

The Pot was likely helping relieve Thomas of working the harbour -

But I wonder... were these sidings not built here during the redevelopment scheme, or were they still here from the *original* Knapford site days?

If that's the case then that's probably where the Coffee-Pots were once berthed! Remember, TIOS pg. 30 states the Pots were -

By 1960, both Percy & Toby would also be staying at Ffarquhar more frequently, so Toby would

So this *might* actually be where Percy was stationed during redevelopment of the harbour between 1955-57, but Toby himself should also-

Interesting to note the new trackplan for Knapford (New) shows a engine shed for the yard shunter on the *HARBOUR LEVEL* and not behind the station (north) where Clive Spong consistently illustrated a pair of engine sheds in Christopher's books where actually the goods sheds -

-Duck arrived at the Big Station, freeing Percy to help extend and reinforce the old wharf's along with building the new station site.
August 18, 2025 at 10:17 PM
The station site itself was redeveloped in 1956-57 according to Wilbert's maps.

If "Thomas & Trevor" is canon, then both Thomas & Trevor were sent to the harbour to help with cleanup operations before redevelopment actually began. This would've been in 1955, shortly before -

-abandoned, along with a few miles of the original branchline alignment and perhaps even the stone quarry (the layout models it present around 1948-51)

The harbour redevlopment scheme is given 3-4 conflicting years in which it takes place according to TIOS, 1955 to 1957.

Now onto the Knapford Harbour Redevelopment Scheme!

Recent trackplans of the rebuilt Knapford Junction site were revealed in a auction of Britt Allcroft's estate. The new station site was built on the north side of the river opposite from the old site, which was likely -

Interesting to note a pair of upper quadrant signals remained north of the original Knapford Junction site, which were already nearly completely displaced by lower quadrant since the 30's. Percy himself was more used to lower quadrant, which led him to believe this was a "backing-
