Small joys:
*Tiny dog is healthy🥰yearly vet check up says so.
*Knitting is back on track, despite a 2 week long ND related cognition storm.
I'm so thankful more designers are working with disabled folks these days.
(Do look up the hidden costs of low level needs nuerodivergent in AFAB folks.)

Our trees have popped 🌸🌸🌸🥹💘
A tip for getting good picture of these, find the lowest branch with the most blooms, stand directly in front of it and adjust camera as needed.
Before trying this, the pictures were not capturing the full beauty of these magnificent trees.

Mutual Aid Post:
No Shower/wipes solution:
*Boiled water that has completely cooled, 1 quart/1 Liter
*2-3 drops of lavender or tea tree essential oil (omit but know this is a preservative)
*1/4 t (quarter teaspoon) of liquid Dr.Bronners.
Pour into plastic container and pair with Viva paper towels.

As we enter Hanami season where I live, I finally decided to take down our Christmas tree.
Clearly I am no traditionalist.
Life has been difficult and my family is directly and immediately affected by political issues.
For hope, I'll be watching local cherry blossoms.

I'm not sure how I managed getting the best gift for my partner but I finally did it. Yaahoo!
What do you get for your nerdy best friend who has everything they need and wants for nothing?
#adventpuzzle

P.S. buy it at holiday sales at bookstores.

Chemex, my love.
This process is akin to meditative.

I love love love espresso (not an owner yet) and I adore our French Press.

Chemex is special and asks for a brief but focused moment of our day.

I know folks say bluesky is for politics but folks gotta eat, yes?
I finally nailed down a good paprika mushroom soup.
For my family that means, add beans and po-tay-toes, use butter and a mix of chicken and beef stock.

We are still taking care of as many appointments as possible before/if/when Medicaid goes away.
Even the thought of Medicaid fraud is laughable to me.
Who is billing who?
Who is caring for families and who is leaving them behind?

We got our kids out of facilities in the 90s, here.
We can do this too.
Having a budget from 1991 just doesn't make sense.
The thing is, when you increase budgets to disabled kids, the landscape opens up to include ALL KIDS. We see it in small community run programs.
