In 2003, I was living in San Fran doing peace activism after college. Peaceful rallies portrayed as riots on the news, just like now. Also my family told me I was crazy and that we had no choice but to bomb Sadam because weapons of mass destruction. I never bought it. Didn't watch mainstream news.

It's true. But again, if we do nothing, we'll definitely lose. There is still a chance America will come out of this as something we recognize and can love. But only if all act. Decades of research shows nonviolent protest and action is how dictatorships topple. This one are no different.

If you get involved in some kind of action, you will feel better. Even just calling your congressional representatives and telling them you're upset will make you feel better. I'm a therapist. I've been talking to people every day about this. You must do something or you'll succumb to hopelessness.

Dude, it hasn't happened yet. A lot of bad stuff has happened, yes, but you're psyching yourself out. "Once article V is triggered" - but it's not 2026 and it hasn't been triggered. What are the odds of winning? I dunno. Not great... but improving? All I'm saying: we won't win if we don't try.

2/2 maybe everyone should call their mayor's office (especially if you live in Worchester, frankly) to make it clear that police should make sure ICE has a judicial warrant, etc, rather than facilitate the raid. Stupid this wouldn't be common sense for police, but very little of this makes sense.

I live in MA so I called the attorney general about this. They took down my concerns but also noted that this isn't particularly unique. ICE raids have been ramping up in MA for a while. So I called my town to ask how they'd handle this. They said they'd handle it really differently. 1/2

I'm sure there are cyber attacks going on this moment but the alarms are silenced. A terrorist attack would give Trump a chance to look like a hero. No enemy state would benefit from that at the moment. Maybe when T is about to be impeached?
