It’s always good to read the annual Valdemar anthology edited by Mercedes Lackey. I especially love that some of the authors write about the same characters each year. It’s like getting a series within a series. 💙📚🪐 #books #SFF #booksky

I also liked The Princess Knight by G.A. Aiken, the second book in the Scarred Earth series. I enjoyed the story which was from the POV of Gemma, a character from the first book. I also enjoyed the new characters who were introduced. Overall a nicely paced, humorous story. 💙📚🪐 #books #SFF

I came across a novelization of Marvel’s Civil War event and thought I’d give it a try. I’m sorry to say it was a disappointment. The story followed the original, but I thought there was a weird vibe throughout in how the author described the women characters. I was not a fan. #books #comics 💙📚🪐

I finished Blind Date With A Werewolf by Patricia Briggs. I’m a fan of Briggs’ Mercy Thompson and Alpha & Omega series, so it was nice to get a story from Asil’s POV. I hope we get more in the future! 💙📚🪐 #books #SFF

I decided to reread Gryphon In Light by Mercedes Lackey and Larry Dixon in preparation for the upcoming sequel. It’s always good to go back to Lackey’s Valdemar. It’s one of my favorite worlds! #books #SFF 💙📚🪐

I liked Soulmatch by Rebecca Danzenbaker. It centered around an interesting concept/world building. I thought the end was a bit rushed with some important elements just hand waved, but I definitely enjoyed it & would read a sequel. 💙📚🪐 #SFF #books

I finally finished The Phoenix Chase by Neil Kleid. (It took me awhile because I bought this one, but kept having to pause for library books that became available from my hold-list.) I really enjoyed it. I recommend it if you’re like me & read a X-Men comic & just want MORE! 💙📚🪐 #comics #xmen

Huh. I finished Foundation and it was not what I expected given the TV show. I thought the 2 prequels by Asimov had more of that vibe. I’ll definitely keep on with the series. 💙📚🪐 #books

I finished Trailer Park Trickster, the 2nd of the Adam Binder novels by David R Slayton. I continue to enjoy this series. The story was entertaining and ended in way I didn’t expect. (I also liked that the main character knew how to properly take care of a cast iron skillet!😄) 💙📚🪐 #books #SciFi

I finished The Late Night Witches by Auralee Wallace. It was the 1st book by this author that I’ve read. It was a good story with some interesting characters. I’ll definitely read more by this author and would like to see a sequel. I’d especially like to see a story centered around the aunt! 💙📚🪐

@samhainnight.bsky.social I made a vegan version of the chicken with blistered tomatoes dish you posted the other week. I didn’t have any squash on hand, but it turned out really well. I’ll definitely be making it again. Thanks for sharing the idea! 🙂

Somehow I never got around to reading Asimov, so I decided to start reading the Foundation series. I was a bit bored in a few places, but over all I enjoyed Prelude To Foundation and will probably continue with the series. 💙📚🪐
