Our therapists have been, of course, but still amazingly nonjudgemental and patient while we discovered our own neurodiversity that they absolutely clocked at appointment one.

And my husband and I are benefiting from the skills too! I’m not sure if it was really out there in the 80s and 90s, but what we always say is, our parents didn’t even have the words for all of this!

We have a chart for ‘big deal’ v ‘little deal’ in our house and honest to god, I use it OFTEN.

It’s a blessing to have the full spectrum of care! We still get a lot of curious comments. Like, oh seems he’s grown out of it. This is who he is, we are helping him skill build. I’m glad we can make the world more accommodating to him with the right therapy, but he will always process differently.

I’m paywalled here, but I would like to add, that our MD has informed us there’s growing research on overlap between ADHD and autism spectrum. Our son is charted as ADHD and on Vyvanse, but most of the therapy is for skills for ASD. So this kid might be untreated for more than lne reason.

Peyton Place
A good man is hard to find
The princess bride

I liked a few books we were assigned in high school but these are ones I mostly read on my own after college and would have enjoyed at that age. Though Flannery O’Connor is so fucking terrifying

My only really gripe about this season, and it’s a real whiny one, is despite having one of the worst records in baseball since July, tickets never got cheap like they used to, for a September game where the tickets a cover charge.
