On the other hand an argument to the effect that being a transphobe means you should be a homophobe too might actually speak in a good way to TERF sympathising catholics who see themselves as progressive bc they aren't obviously homophobic. That's such a thing in the UK

It's more likely to help homophobic catholics feel better about it by enabling them to see their beliefs as the fullest expression of a kind of feminism, a la the whole New Feminism thing. It may also have influence in the Catholic healthcare world, which is kinda significant in a US context.

It's also the official journal of the Catholic Medical Association, who have an outsized voice in Catholic bioethics and healthcare policy in the US

That's a fairly prominent catholic bioethics journal. It's Q2 on scimago despite being pretty niche, if that gives you any sense of it.
