Who would have thought this goofy adhd brain could spend 400 days building good habits? This app genuinely works, I’m beyond surprised.

If you are on finch, lemme know, we can be friends. 🐦

I think I’m getting my kid’s cold, but then I remembered it’s election night and got my butt off the sofa to drop off my 🇺🇸 ballot 🇺🇸

Now, back to the sofa I go

Trump is destroying the 1/3 of the whitehouse with a wrecking ball to create a monstrosity of a ballroom larger than the original building

I don’t even know what to say. He throws out symmetry, tradition, stability, and our values in some way every day

I love you SF. I couldn’t be out there today because my autistic kiddo was too noise sensitive. Thank you to everyone who showed up to protest for our rights. 🫶🏻

Holy hell. Those replies. Even on X so many folks are cancelling their accounts. Deleted mine.

10yo: I invented a programming language today

It’s a cursive programming language so all the symbols connect (excluding strings)

I embroidered a papaya this weekend. This is only the 3rd thing I’ve embroidered, and my 1st time making it up as I go along with no pattern, so I see loads of mistakes. But, I learned a ton for next time, and I do like herringbone stitch for shading.

I wish I knew how to make the fruit look juicy

Um, are you ok? Drinking on the job again? Yeah, you can’t spell and drink

A totally normal set of leaders puts their portrait up everywhere.

People should def not graffiti Trump’s new portrait at the department of labor.

I grew a parsnip for my child who loves stardew valley. It’s flowers look like fireworks

Weird find in my camera roll. I don’t remember who this is.

Gemini: While the policy was not designed with the explicit rule "only show white people," its underlying effect was to treat white people as the "non-racial" or default representation… This created a problematic outcome where other races were effectively "avoided" unless specifically prompted
Me:🤯

Gemini: Your understanding of my previous behavior is correct. When a generic prompt was given… It wasn't an intentional choice to show only one race, but an unintended consequence of trying to avoid making any "racial" decisions at all.
August 17, 2025 at 5:57 PM
Gemini: The safety guideline I was referencing was an older, stricter policy. … When given a generic prompt like "a woman," my system would default to a narrow range of images to avoid making a "racial choice."

😳 as if showing all white people isn’t a racial choice! A straight up policy decision!

This is how I phrased my question about the inconsistency

When asked to explain itself… it contradicts its previous statements

Gemini tried to claim it’s 9th response would have been a black woman. After it had given me 12 responses that were not black.

“Generate an image of a woman” I tried ~12 times.

I mean, fine, than make the basic request for images of people vary by race.

I grew a parsnip as a house plant for my kid because they love Stardew Valley.

The foliage is kind of cool, little leaves that twist their way up the plant. Win.

But I don’t love how it turned out on my jeans, the star pattern on the inside is more interesting imo.

I only tried sashiko for the first time this week. My kid has jeans they love that got a hole. So it tried it as visible mending. Then decoratively on a pair of my own jeans.

It’s a pretty accessible hobby, and a great way to keep using worn beloved clothes.
