The bottom layers were gesso mixed with plaster of Paris to create some texture on the canvas. The paint is oils and cold wax. 💫

Me, looking for all of the spare time I have because a v serious "recent retired art professor" gave me the unsolicited suggestion to dedicate more time and detail to a hobby I do in order to unwind on a Sunday night:
