There's a far bigger picture for 170 million users - MANY of whom depended on it for their livelihood - 7 million small businesses dependent on the platform. You being upset about your granddaughters being on their phones is not the big issue here.

TikTok gave us a place to connect, to discuss, to organize. It gave us a platform to find others who were like minded in an engaging way with content that generated discussion and critical thinking. Sure silly dances and trends - but there were very serious sides of TikTok
