Giving up hope is something we cannot do. Giving up hope that we can make a difference just lets them know that what they are doing is okay. Let us show them what their hate molds, their hate breeds a hopeful resistance.

Mike Braun just stated that they are going to do more audits on wasteful healthcare spending. He literally stated getting rid of low hanging fruit. I guess my special needs child that gets Medicaid is low hanging fruit. #mikebraunsucks

Mike Braun just stated he wants police to have a more livable wage. What about the rest of us? Why can we not raise minimum wage? #mikebraunsucks

Today is my sweeties 4th birthday. We are taking her to the autism awareness Kwings game!

I don’t have the luxury to just put all this political stuff as “out of sight- out of mind”. Out of sight out of mind is just political mind control. Those who think we can do nothing are just giving power elites the satisfaction that we have this illusion of loss of control. We CAN fight back.

Reminder in these dark times to do something that gives you joy today. Hold on to that feeling a little longer than normal and fully soak it in.

Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.
