It's also quite possible that it's because in many languages the word for apple is also the general word for fruit, especially in the early stages.

Oh this is gold. How much of this is just people not knowing their cardinal directions and being confused by map projections.

My mind blew when I got halfway in and read "HRT start" 🤯

The way Luxon can't be bothered to pronunce people’s names correctly really grates me. Like I have no love lost for Macron but you don’t have to be a French speaker to know that you’re butchering the name, and how that’s incredibly disrespectful.

This is how every one of my hobbies starts… (I now have way too many.)

I think this is the thing, especially for autistic people. With lots of chatter our brains go into overdrive trying to figure out what to focus on. With music, a movie, etc: there's only one thing (even if it's made of many layers).

Jynx is an absolute international treasure. She started out as this weird little gremlin on her Drag Race season who then blew everyone away with her comedy, and now she's still a weird gremlin but absolutely fabulous at the same time.

It’s fundamentally precisely this. No-one has any say over my name but me. The only reason we don’t pick our initial names is because we literally can’t. Anything after that? Completely up to the name’s owner.

I use mine mostly to print remote control planes, so yes, I am a massive nerd, but no mine didn't cost that much (though I picked one with good hardware but bad software because I knew I could replace the software, did I mention I'm a massive nerd?)

Here's a new favourite: "Haven't tried it yet but it definitely works ★★★★★"

I personally own the S7 with auto-emptying dock. Its a good price if you can still get it. I'd love to have an auto-refilling water tank but that didn't exist until the S8.

I also like that they have standard and pro models so you can make a cost/benefit choice for yourself based on what you need.

Yeah, I had a Roomba but I began to feel that they're the Apple of robot vacuums: expensive and no longer innovating.

Xiaomi/Roborock are solid and a great price for what they can do. And like a lot of other brands in their space, they're innovating new features with every model.

I'm seeing this on Friday! Looking forward to it.

My dad always has his long hair tied back in a low ponytail. So yeah, for the longest time I couldn't wear my hair in a low tie: either high or not at all.

It's faded as my face and especially my nose have changed, and as I got more piercings and confidence. But I still rarely tie it low.

My favourites are the tons of "Took longer than expected, haven't tried it yet ★★★★★" reviews.
