I wish Patrick Harvie all the best for the future. Under his co-leadership, the Scottish Greens became a significant force in politics and l, through the Bute House Agreement, entered government for the first time. He should be proud of his achievements.
Since 2008, Patrick Harvie has jointly led the Scottish Greens.

Today, he has announced that this will be his last year in the role as he won't be re-standing in this year's internal elections.

Thank you for everything, Patrick💚

Kind, compassionate and full of life. A politician who wore her heart on her sleeve and made the world a better place. She brought joy to everyone who knew her - especially to her soulmate, Keith, and her beloved boys, Lewis and Jack. Christina McKelvie MSP - I was so proud to call you my friend 💛

We wish @nicolasturgeon.bsky.social well following her announcement today to stand down as an MSP after decades of public service to Scotland. She has always supported GWL, & as First Minister, she officially opened our newly refurbished building in 2015, hailing GWL, ‘…truly a national treasure’

Being one of the original 1999 MSPs, serving (by the time of the election) for 27 years - half my life - and getting to represent the best constituency in Scotland has been an honour beyond words.
It is time, though, for me to embrace different opportunities in a new chapter of my life 💛

What happened in the Oval Office today was horrifying - but, as this piece says, there is now no denying the truth of Trump’s alignment with Russia. Everyone who values freedom, democracy and peace must stand full square with Zelensky and Ukraine.
