unfortunately HDR didn't work on my Avermedia and tried different HDMI & TB cables, and I think VRR is unsupported outright in docked mode with the switch 2 for now no?

Fantastic update & great research. Have a "feeling" Nintendo isn't gonna play cat & mouse, 3rd parties just adopting protocol hopefully being it. Didn't know HDR/VRR didn't work on my avermedia or any of 'em. And what did you mean by "didn’t speak Nintendo’s language" was it just protocol handshake?

Early days of a new system, we all finding stuff out together haha! ur article is only gonna bring more light to the issue, especially for people who want a portable dock for travel like Genki's Covert dock for SW1. Hopefully you're able to get some good info from Aver to shine some light on this!

Yeah definitely a concern, but benefit of the doubt to Avermedia cause if it's the case (see their official website product pages with massive "switch 2 tested") it's gonna be a cat & mouse game with firmware updates from nintendo then avermedia. crossing fingers... Looking forward to your findings!

Maybe cause firmware update was a few days ago? Once my Core Go was updated it worked perfectly! (Like the Genki Covert on Switch1) Only quirk is had to use the USB-C cable that came with Core Go ( Switch USB-C cable didn't work) but OG NSW2 HDMI was perfectly fine. Confirmed getting 4k60!

No idea what y'all are on about? I have the AverMedia Core Go dock and with a firmware update from last week it works perfectly as a dock. They also updated all their docks and all are confirmed to work with the Switch 2 youtu.be/8EwdSkzN7Iw?...
