My Thought Bubble-going experience has evolved considerably since my first convention 13 years ago, when I had to travel down and back from Glasgow in a day because Forbidden Planet wouldn't give me the Sunday off.

Arrived in Harrogate. Having checked into my digs, I'm now facing a real dilemma about whether I should actually go to Thought Bubble or just live in this bath for three days instead.

People using the safety of women and girls as an excuse to campaign against marginalised people usually turn out not to care about the safety of women and girls at all. This one, involved in anti-refugee demos in Aberdeen, managed to avoid jail after throwing his then-partner down a set of stairs.

I haven't worked on an event since pre-pandemic, so it was an absolute joy to work on this year's Refugee Festival Scotland Media Awards. At a time when it feels like we're seeing the worst of what the world has to offer, it's been a privilege to work with people showing the best of humanity too.

I feel like being sent a stack of forms - most of which I had already filled in electronically for my GP to be granted a referral in the first place - to complete by hand and post back is not the most effective way of sharing information with NHS specialists.

It only took three seasons to finally see United win at Tannadice. Not the prettiest of games, but my streak is broken. Grateful to catch Luca Stephenson's last game in a Tangerine jersey - he has put in an absolute shift for the club.
