A @churchillfship.bsky.social can help you #ChangeTheWorld My work to transform responses to #EconomicAbuse was inspired by my 2016 travels to the US & Australia. The learning I gained provided the blueprint for setting up @seacharity.bsky.social which now inspires others!

Realised during Covid what we’d been missing out on. Just back from glamping in Norfolk. The weather just keeps getting better and there’s nothing like long walks with your dog and then a glass of wine and a nice meal at a countryside pub!

The final report of the Independent Sentencing Review by David Gauke was published on Thursday. Pleased to see:

✅ It recognises that victim-survivors of #EconomicAbuse not only want criminal justice, but also economic justice (referencing research I undertook with Kathryn Royal & Keith Gibson)

Turns out that my 7 year journey as a charity founder was text book. So textbook in fact that I feature as a portrait in Jo Owen’s new handbook for social entrepreneurs which is published today by @bloomsburybooksuk.bsky.social I can’t recommend it more highly.

For a long time, we didn’t talk about #EconomicAbuse because it was seen as a form of psychological abuse - because it nearly always give rise to emotional harm.

This #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek @womanstrust.bsky.social is calling on government to provide mental health support #GiveSurvivorsHope

The Treasury Committee published its report into the acceptance of cash today. Great to see particular concern expressed in paragraphs 44-49 for victim-survivors of #EconomicAbuse since, for many, having access to and being able to use cash continues to be a lifeline.

Two important reports about #EconomicAbuse were published last week which adopt an intersectional lens.
