Just subscribed for a month to try out screensdesign.com.

I need some inspiration to finalize the design of my upcoming app. 👀

I recently integrated haptic feedback into my upcoming iOS app and found that the best way to manage it is by creating helper functions for common actions.

How are you doing it?

I’m having a lot of fun playing with Liquid Glass for my upcoming app! 👀

The GlassEffectContainer component is neat.👌

Ideal for onboarding or multi-step processes.

At first, I thought, “Oh, finally Apple implemented the touch cursor when recording a video in iOS 26. That’s neat!”

Then I realized it only happens inside the Linear app… 😅

They implemented it themselves! Genius! 👏

A few weeks ago, I created a special Obsidian page for usetype.app.

It already accounts for 25% of my traffic. 📈

Wow, a user just purchased the lifetime usetype.app license...

...One year after starting the 7-day free trial! 🤯

I'm going to release my new app in September. 📅

Just moved all my remaining tasks spread across @notion and Apple Notes to @linear.

Time to get serious! 💪

Outstanding customer support is the simplest way for indie hackers to stand out. 🌟

Whenever I release an update for usetype.app, I message everyone who requested a new feature that it is now available.

"Wow" moment guaranteed. 💯

Found this in Paddle's newsletter and pretty much agree with it.

"Build a minimum remarkable product"

To get traction nowadays, your product must be attractive, in addition to being useful.

Type 1.5 is now available on the App Store! 🎉

🔝 Always on Top
🎨 Revamped Settings

I was a bit disappointed to see that I didn't gain many impressions after localizing usetype.app.

Then, a few days ago, I realized I hadn't localized the first screenshot in the Mac App Store. 🤦‍♂️

The headline remained in English for all languages. 😬

Hit a milestone with usetype.app 🚩

- 5,000 notes
- 20,000 entries

Really cool to see my app being used by others!

I'm introducing a new feature in usetype.app 1.5: Always Stay on Top.

Since it adds an extra button to the main interface, I've included an option to display it only when active.

Aiming to keep the app as clean as possible. 👌

Time to refresh the settings in usetype.app.

I'm now using NavigationSplitView and the `switch` toggle style.

Feels more modern! ✨

I just fixed a bug in my macOS app, thanks to alexcodes.app/

I couldn't find the problem, but it instantly suggested a solution. 💡

This is exactly what I'm looking for in AI tools!

How to view an onboarding again for a macOS app:

1. Close the app
2. Right-click the app in the Applications folder and select "Show Package Contents"
3. Open Info.plist
4. Find CFBundleIdentifier value
5. Run `defaults delete [bundleIdentifier]` in Terminal
6. Open the app

Tadaaa! 🎉

I've quickly gotten used to working with @alexcodes_ai inside Xcode.

Sticking with it for now. This sidebar is super handy! 👌

I'm exploring options to distribute usetype.app outside the Mac App Store and just came across this amazing article. 🌟

TLDR:

– Use Sparkle to manage updates
– Use Paddle to manage payment and licensing

Just realized I started iOS development 15 years ago, in January 2010!

- iOS version was 3.2
- Interface Builder was separate from Xcode
- iPhone 3GS was the latest model
- The iPad had just been announced
- Steve Jobs was still alive

Another era. ✨

Woke up with this super nice Reddit post! 🤩

...and a bunch of free trials for usetype.app.
