I moved my communities to @guild.host

guild.host/montreal-tec...

The move went fine. I can answer questions, if that helps 🙂

We also organized 2 "SoCraTes unconferences" in the past—but more like a retreat, with ~25 people over a weekend.

But it's paused for now because that kind of thing takes time 😄

For transparency, I'm the organizer of the Montréal, Canada community: guild.host/software-cra...

We do in-person events with interactive, roundtable discussions every month 🙂

There are a bunch of in-person ones, like:
- Germany: www.socrates-conference.de/home
- France: socrates-fr.github.io

But also online events:
- frogsconf.nl
- scunconf.com

And local communities too!

Not sure if it's still up-to-date, but they were listed on softwarecrafters.org

That's also what makes the "Software Crafters meetups" different

We facilitate open-space discussions to let the participants come up with their own agenda and have interactive discussions/demos/workshops

Happy to discuss if people/organizers want to learn from our experience 👋

Yep, they are!

They are just not well-known but this is the experience you get when attending the SoCraTes unconferences, for instance.

They are more popular/present in Europe than North America though.
