Poland has long had the reputation of Europe's climate laggard.
Not anymore - Poland reduced the share of coal in its electricity mix from 95% in 2000 to 54% in 2024.
Wind+solar are up from 0% in 2000 to 23% in 2024.

Industrial energy use in Europe reduced by 21% since 2000.
Most of this is because of energy efficiency: Without it industry energy consumption would be 37% higher today compared to 2000.
It's not because of deindustrialisation: Industrial activity in 2023 was much higher than in 2000.

One sure-fire result of TFG's efforts to throw the US' energy transition into reverse is that it will remove the most significant competitor to China in #energytransition technologies. China has a clear path to total world domination now, and in 4 years, it will be an unassailable market advantage.

Many French people do not believe in EVs or that they are cleaner than combustion cars (in reality: 1/3 of CO2 over their lifetime). 11% are even 'électro-allergiques', 62% of 'électrosceptiques et électroprudents' could still be open to facts. A lot of work to do.
