Being back in the suburbs where you grew up and realizing that the concept of a “food desert” is incomprehensible for some people who have always been in well-resourced neighborhoods. 10 full-service grocery stores in a 3 mile stretch.

Dude imaginé living in this lil road bubble. Like, love to see that there’s tons of apartments popping up at a relatively high density for this area, but wow, you can’t walk anywhere outside of this trapezoid!!

If you told me in 2015 that this is what 10 years later would do for micro mobility access, I’m not sure if I would’ve fully believed you to be honest.

High speed rail could be the best thing to happen to America and you just don’t know it yet.

This is why boomers think cities are soulless concrete jungles and inherently bad. This is NYC in 1982:

“But where do you get your protein?”

It’s an old lie others tell you when you are vegetarian or vegan, but vegan meats nowadays have nearly as much protein as straight up beef, 19g/ 4oz vs. 23g/ 4oz (vegan vs. traditional respectively)

Current obsession: gamifying grocery shopping at Safeway. After coupons and rewards, this is a 70% savings.

And this cart includes 18-pack of pasture raised organic eggs too.

More than 50 million people live in the northeast corridor megaregion, and it's regional economy generates $5.23 trillion. An affordable high-speed train moving people between Boston and Washington would be gamechanging.

Original plans for DC Metro included a proposed future extension line down into South Arlington, with Bailey's Crossroads as a major commercial center directly on the line. The highlighted sections on this map are major commercial corridors in the county.

Love an extended sidewalk plaza in front of new Capital One Arena design mockups. One step closer to a fully pedestrianized F St NW corridor.

And last but not at all least, the metro/train system is wildly efficient. Trains arrive almost on time every time and run on 3 to 5 minute intervals during the day. The stations are super clean and bright, and there are safety barriers between platform and train, a no brainer.
