Looks very interesting. So is the log sitting in a wall? The soil / peat below directly below looks very different to the surrounding, or is it just the light?

More than deserved after getting across the moor. And in any case why not! Watch out for those midges! Looks beautiful I hope to walk there myself next year

Beautiful location, one of the most sparsely populated and inaccessible areas in Scotland. Take care through that lovely moorland

Please don’t make the mistake of thinking the quality of buildings and the built environment is solely based on the skill of the architect. It like suggesting the state of biodiversity in Scotland is based on the skills of foresters. It’s driven by political economic and social systems.

The Sound of Jura from Knapdale and The Craignish Pen. Often almost looks ethereal, beautiful light and as calm as a ‘duck pond’ just like your pic and then of course can be a bit scary in a storm. Lovely!
