Great start! However, a few key features are missing, such as the ability to automatically generate recaps and the option to easily initiate them from a mobile device. Would be perfect to consume when going from or to work.

That was a bummer, I had expected all features to be present. You write that it's broadly available for customers with Copilot. I assume that you mean that it's rolling out to tenants now?

5) In the end I felt that maybe it had been better to build these SAM capabilities yourself or invest in a external governance tool. I won't complain to much as SAM will be free if you use Copilot but I would not pay for it as a stand alone subscription

4) Data governance reports - Some of them were nice and could help identifying oversharing but there are some limitations to how often they can run, no automation possibilities and for example the "Shared with EEEU" report only looked on recent actions

3) Site lifecycle management - The big disappointment within SAM. The emails sent to end users were unclear or not working and links should point directly to pages where actions could be taken.

2) Site-level access restriction - Really nice feature. Felt strange though that you still could add people outside selected groups to the site, even if they got an access denied when trying to access.

1) Default sensitivity labels for document libraries - I really never understood why this should be part of SAM and not within the Purview product family but it did what it promised. Would be nice if you could automatically set this based on group/site label, now there is manual effort.

Great work, it would be good if the non-editable fields that are populated from Entra ID would be greyed out, or some other visual cue that makes it clearer for the end user that they can't change the data there.
