I knew there had to be some reason why Ukraine was now considering the rare minerals deal. This is despicable and Musk sucks www.reuters.com/business/us-...
Exclusive: US could cut Ukraine's access to Starlink internet services over minerals, say sources
Ukraine's access to SpaceX-owned Starlink was brought up in talks between U.S. and Ukrainian officials after Ukrainian President Zelenskiy turned down an initial proposal from U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent.

We are not an island. Our interactions with the rest of the world matter. We cannot isolate ourselves. The dismantling of USAID will hurt us. A misplaced desire to save a few bucks will end up costing us more.

‘Americans Can and Will Die from This’: USAID Worker Details Dangers, Chaos
The sudden scapegoating of the once-bipartisan agency has left front-line workers in foreign countries stunned and abandoned, without even a contact in Washington.

What will the tariffs mean for the alcohol industry? There’s a lot of uncertainty and even the pause isn’t great, but I lay out a possible range of outcomes and why it won’t be limited to just tequila, Crown, and Modelo open.substack.com/pub/brewhiki...
Alcohol and the (Potentially) Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day (in a Month)
What tariffs could mean for the alcohol industry and why it’s far more complex than tequila, Crown, and Modelo

Reading Life The Movie and in the discussion of everyone who became a celebrity through the O.J. Simpson trial, Robert Kardashian isn't even mentioned. With the immediate celebrity of so many others, it's crazy it would be over a decade before Keeping Up With the Kardashians

I mean it’s hard to make pronouncements with opting out for the draft and transfer portal, but perhaps the SEC just wasn’t all that great this year…

For so long I wanted to write something on Waypost Brewing, but my love for what they were doing wanted me to make it perfect. And then they announced they were closing at the end of the year, so it was now or never brewhiking.substack.com/p/a-resting-...

Best guess - Brad's speech was loosely connected but entirely off-topic and full of misinformation and entirely done to clout chase and get picked up by far-right accounts to go viral. That's his playbook. Then he'll sit and watch as vile comments pour in without pushing back

This is not the solution and would lead to increased risks. As a board member, I will oppose any efforts to implement this if they are proposed. Rep. Carra has continously opposed efforts to solve this problem while stoking the fear and bullying that contributes to this epidemic

He’s more than willing to fully believe his constituents when it’s something he supports, even when the experts point out how the belief is wrong. He doesn’t care what experts say & derides them. This is just a lame excuse to pretend like he put effort into something he was always going to oppose

Oppose Brad and he’ll reduce you to a caricature while decrying those that don’t show others respect

And of course taking credit for the same economic conditions he was railing on pre-election has begun. Trump & his cronies are going to take credit for things they didn’t do & we have to call it out or we’ll always have this false narrative that the GOP is better for the economy. Rep Carra is a joke

No!!! Just opened my email to find out Waypost Brewery is closing at the end of the year. They have been one of my favorite breweries over the past six years and a hidden gem on the Michigan coast. Glad I was able to stop in last week and now I've got to make sure I make it back

If the highest abv on your tap list is 5.5%, you're either a bar I don't want to visit or a brewery I really want to visit. Let's call it the SNPA Line

I've got some neighbors with Trump signs in their yard who campaigned against the renewal of the school millage this spring because it was a "tax hike." They would have gotten about $135 back in their pockets each year if it failed. These tariffs are going to do a whole lot more damage than that
November 26, 2024 at 1:47 AM
This shouldn’t be surprising - there’s too much narrative that lifting up others is bound to hurt someone. That doesn’t have to be (and generally isn’t) the case. We’ve got to communicate how this improves the workplace for all and reframe how it’s presented
