I just saw someone refer to an 'old school overhead projector'. Dear Lord … I remember when they were cutting-edge school technology and I feel so old …

We see what happened from every angle and we’re being told that we are watching completely the opposite. Has a government ever been so determined to gaslight so many people?

We're all back after the Christmas/New Year break, so time for blowing own trumpet …

To those who don't - A great day!

Algorithms have a lot to answer for. My Mum passed away on Friday. I mentioned it on Facebook. Now my feed is peppered with 'plant a tree in memory of a loved one' and 'make special jewellery from your loved ones ashes'. It's not right, is it?

Who's seen that beautiful just risen Joseph Wright Moon?

On a positive note, amid all this doom & gloom, we have garden wildflower news – a beautiful coral-red corncockle has poked up in the middle of the meadow grass! It's a first for us. One tiny flower, one great leap forward in rewilding. Happy days!

So, instead of cooling rain, we've ben given a five-minute heavy shower that has now stopped and simply added to the humidity … marvellous. #heatwaveuk

Shout out to those currently enduring this non-Covid, cold-like virus with a hacking, horrible cough and gruesome sore throat. Please tell me it ends soon?

For almost 2 years I’ve been doing a ‘daily’ meditation using the Balance App & today I am proud to say that I managed my 100th consecutive day of meditating. I was partly expecting the App to give me a pat on the back … but I suppose that’s not really the point.

In 1895 a horse named Sir Visto won the Derby. He went on to win the St Leger. The day after his Derby win, a little baby was christened in the town of Derby. He was named Sirvisto and he was my great-grand-uncle!

You know that First Aid kit you bought from Aldi all those years ago? Turns out they're fantastic if you cut your finger or develop hypothermia. Anything else? Not so much …

LOVED #DoctorWho #WishWorld No spoilers here yet, but definitely looking forward to next week!
And 2 things: 1 I now understand why they filmed both series pretty much back-to-back and 2 has there ever been a more cinematically beautiful series?

Damn Russell T Davies & Co - you have me so teased & confused rewatching #DoctorWho episodes for hints, that I even spent 10 minutes studying Dugga Doo for clues …

I've just read that 'Lucia Montanelli from Vesper Bar has created a striking cocktail using Everleaf and leftover champagne'. No problem with the Everleaf - I used that non-alcoholic spirit a lot. But who the heck has leftover champagne?

Do UK folk have suggestions for fruity frozen/iced drinks from the usual places? I know they are pricey, but can budget for an occasional treat, so no chiding please! I need to avoid high caffeine & both Costa & Starbies versions are high in it. Help?

Everton fans leaving Goodison may fear that the new place will be somehow 'less'. That they'll need to work to ensure the memories stay alive. We moved from the Baseball Ground to Pride Park. It's fine.

My spoiler-free take on #DoctorWho - Twists, reveals, hints, teasers, pop music. Not using any of the names/nouns because 'Spoilers, Sweetie!' but let's just say my heart is happy & ten years old again today! Oh my! The brilliance of russelltdavies63 & @junodawson Thank you!

Dear Mark Carney,
Rest assured that we weren't impressed when our government handed that invite to Donald Trump either
We stand with Canada, and always will.
Sincerely,
Britain.

Loved this week's episode of Doctor Who. It may have been 'Doctor lite' but script & performance made the most of his appearances. And Kate Stewart & UNIT were allowed to shine. A genuinely good story with relatable elements & properly scary 'big-bads'. #DoctorWho #LuckyDay

Seeking reconciliation?
Identify your part in the estrangement, rather than focussing on that of others. Consider an apology.
Maybe avoid repeating the behaviours of the past.
Afford others the privacy you claim to need - even if you secretly crave attention.
Just saying …

#DoctorWho That was SO good. Witty, clever, twisty, genuinely scary Big Bad, visually epic. THIS makes me want to instantly rewatch. And RTD might be toying with us ... 'RIP Doctor Who' indeed?

All hail our NHS & its screening programmes - this year it's Bowel Screening. Result via the NHS App (in 5 days!) was clear. Middle-age has its irritations, but this was simple & free. Ignoring the pack won't change what's going on down there & you're surely better off knowing?

Excellent @bbcdoctorwho episode to kick off new run! Good balance of funny & clever with dark & thoughtful. With themes that resonate in the here and now. Already loving Belinda who it's clear is not taking any nonsense Nothing pleases everyone, but surely this will come close?
