Mee eens. Maar zoals met alle populisten, zij vinden zichzelf nooit schuldig, enkel de mensen die op ze reageren.

Dat kan, maar dat maakt het alleen maar erger. Deze hele reis oogt alsof het bedoelt is om uit te lokken. Elke reactie kan worden aangegrepen als ‘reden’ voor annexatie. Ik las dat ze nu wel een afgelegen basis gaan bezoeken ipv Nuuk ivm tegendemonstraties.

Eigenlijk hebben we amper iets te verspelen, na de zoveelste bombardement op oa kinderen zonder weerwoord van het kabinet. Als NL weer krediet en geloofwaardigheid wil dat het voor alle mensenrechten en internationale rechten staat, moet het daar ook voor stemmen.

Those are estimates based off of similar task forces from 2024. With inflation for the period at around 3% I think 50 billion is way off. Although the current administration has not helped to reduce inflation.

To not deflect from the topic. Is the US not great enough, wealthy enough, or willing enough to tackle both drugs on the Southern border and enforce sanctions on Russian aggression enablers? Are you not the richest, greatest nation on earth, leader of the free world and champion of democracy?

Like I said an estimate, based off of previous task forces of similar size and objective that worked with FBI, DHS & Treasury.
87k is terrible, and an issue you need to tackle. But likewise appeasing Russia now, is making problems for (also for the US) later that will cost you a hell of a lot more.

Having said that, are you saying the US is not ‘great’ enough to fund an estimated $15 - $25 million a year for taskforce KleptoCapture? Whilst the Drug Task Force already receives an estimated $100 million a year?

The (human) resources were repurposed. The task force itself shut down. But let’s be honest, America is too big and too wealthy to not be able to focus on enforcing Russian sanctions, AND the Mexican cartels, right?

I think Jon Stewart made a good summarization. The reason MAGA (& moderate Republicans) want to align with Russia (or can accept it) is because of their obsessive hatred of everyone and everything they consider 'woke'. Europe is too 'woke', whilst Russia is not. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
