One of my favorite wines recently! Cab Franc from Domaine de l’Ecu. Absolutely delicious, loved the bright acidity.

Minerality is the only word to describe this one. Wish it had some more acidity to balance it out but you can’t love them all. Also I forgot to pack wine glasses 😂

Another great wine tonight! 2015 Rita’s Crown Chardonnay from Dragonette. Lemon, honey, popcorn on the nose. Not overly oaked, nice acidity still hanging around. Aging great since the last time I tried it 7 years ago.

Vaccarèse! Haven’t had many of these but this a cool wine from Outward Wines in SLO. Similar to Syrah but with some higher acid. Neutral oak. 50 percent whole cluster.

What a great pairing tonight! Needed to make room in the freezer and in the wine fridge so I made a venison roast from a deer from last season and paired it with this @foxenwines Toasted Rope Syrah from 2010.

Great wine with dinner tonight! Love the high acidity with spicy Cajun food.
