Did the senators betray us? If by joining with the Republicans to pass a bill that would end the shutdown, that will mean that the Congress has to vote. This would force Mike Johnson to open the government and seat Adelita. And then, we’d see the Epstein Files. Am I just fooling myself?

The Republicans fury about Biden’s pardon for his son is barmy. Trump has pardoned many criminals, including Ivanka’s father-in-law, Charles Kushner, guilty of tax evasion, campaign finance offenses, and witness tampering. Trump has tapped him to become the U.S. ambassador to France. Poor France.

I read this today: Accuracy is no guarantee of visibility. What matters is surprise, shock, subversion of expectations, defiance of standards and conventions… anything to attract eyeballs. It’s going to be a long four years.
