Light color is measured in Kelvin. Halogen is 2700 K. It's close to pure yellow, & glares much harder than pure white lights at 4-5000 K. Yellow light also causes eye muscle strain, which makes them feel much brighter. The least amount of glare comes from the violet side of the spectrum at 8-10K.
