I dug up this guy from the basement. He’s almost as old as Scherzer and still in great shape. Just missing his hat. #bluejays #wewantitall

This week, we honour the voices, talents, and achievements of Canadians with Down syndrome.
Inclusion isn’t just a value — it’s a commitment.
Let’s work together to create communities where everyone is welcomed, valued & celebrated.

I didn't get into Anne Frank house when I was in Amsterdam a few weeks ago because it was booked solid, but Otto's quote from 1970 is very relevant today.

We’re rocking our socks for World Down Syndrome Day! #LotsOfSocks #WDSD
March 21, 2025 at 10:52 AM
Tomorrow (Friday, 3/21) is World Down Syndrome Day. That day is chosen because DS is caused by a 3rd copy of the 21st chromosome. So wear bright and/or mismatched socks to celebrate the contributions of people with DS. #RockYourSocks #WDSD2025
March 20, 2025 at 11:19 AM
Don't forget to wear bright socks this Friday, March 21st and post pics to social media to celebrate our friends with Down Syndrome. Learn more at www.worlddownsyndromeday.org/lots-of-socks-campaign

All American products have been taken off the shelves at liquor stores and I’m “Happy” to do my part and buy local.

In times of instability investors tend to gravitate toward the American dollar. He's not going to invade Canada or Greenland and he doesn't care what happens in Ukraine. I really believe Trump's ridiculous statements lately are to create instability in the world to bolster US investments.

I've been coaching Special Olympics basketball and I see firsthand the power of inclusion.
This weekend, when you buy a #ChooseToInclude Donut, you’re helping support SO athletes across the country!
📸 Post your donut pics to show your support! #ChooseToInclude Who’s grabbing one with me? 🍩🏀😃

Fears that GenAI coding tools will harm programming skills are nothing new—every abstraction, from C to IDEs, faced similar criticism. But engineering is about solving problems, not just writing code. These tools free us from mundane tasks, letting us tackle challenges we couldn't address before.

We ended up with about 335lbs of tomatoes in our garden this year. We ate lots, froze lots and gave lots away. This is what we have left still ripening.

For the UN International Day of Persons with Disabilities yesterday, we rewired a bunch of toys so that they can be operated with large switches instead of tiny buttons. This allows children of all abilities to play and interact with them. It was fun!
