Sadly we went to the Bluu Bar on Albert Dock for our graduation dinner. It definitely would have been better if Brian Jacques had cooked for us.
Steven Gerrard was there as well. Would have been quite the Dinner Party.

Brian Jacques came to my graduation. He made everyone laugh and really brightened up the occasion. It’s great to see that his books are still so popular. He is really sadly missed around Liverpool.

Back to the Moon by Joseph Silk is a good read. I also enjoyed When Galaxies Were Born by Richard S. Ellis, who did his PhD at Oxford.

I’m just reading Richard Ellis’ book “When Galaxies Were Born”. Richard Ellis is a prominent astronomer from Colwyn Bay. This book is a really well written, accessible introduction to the subject. It’s really interesting to read about the evolution of astronomy during the 20th century and beyond.
