It's a new world record! Ahead of my run for Prevent-a-thon 6 next week, I grab a 22 second time save and break another minute barrier in UnMetal Any% Hard! Great run, with an insane couple of bosses that went so fast. Good to know I'm back on form for the marathon!

...for the delay. So this evening I built a new function whereby the Live Audio Monitor compensates the delay for you. It reads the delay you've added to a player, and when you press the mute or off air button, it waits the same amount of time before triggering the action. One problem...[3/5]
I added a checkbox to each delay in the Runner Stream Source to activate the delay function. So as long as this box is ticked, the mute and off air buttons associated with these players will delay their actions when clicked for the same amount of time entered here. Once clicked, the button disappears to show that it's performing a delayed action. Once the delay concludes, the button reappears in its new state, and triggers the change in OBS.

Note for the future - test how stuff works on OBS before spending a couple of hours trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist. Case in point, STUK has a function to add delay to local Discord audio in OBS so it is synced with the runner's incoming stream. During Saving Sarah, I realised... [1/5]
The runner stream source panel. The Local OBS Delay (Discord Audio) has been set to 360, meaning any Discord audio is delayed by 3.6 seconds before going to the stream.

The Live Stream update post YouTube just put out, claiming to be their "biggest updates to YouTube Live", seem a bit lackluster. It's not what I'd describe as big. Having said that, as someone who streams to 16x9 and Vertical at the same time, this is a nice QoL update:

To conclude, I don't really have the time or need, to submit to AGDQ this year. It does feel weird, considering I've been submitting and regularly hitting the backup list the last few years - of course I ran in person at SGDQ23. Plus, I've still got to make time for my best bud - he's nearly 2! 5/5

Speedrun Tools UK is being picked up left, right, and centre, and I'm heavily involved with some of the marathons using it. Saving Sarah just concluded, raising over $3,000 in mutual aid, and there's Prevent-A-Thon 6 in November, which I'm also running in, returning to UnMetal... 4/5

But also I've been hella busy in this space recently. I'm GDQ Staff now, being a Hotfix Showrunner, so I already have a regular spot on the channel. Plus I'm on next weekend's "Oops All Metal Gear" special running MGS1 Any% Extreme. I've got enough GDQ coverage at the moment and happy with it... 3/5

With Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater released in August, I fully expect it in the line-up, and has been submitted by 5 different runners. As such, I saw little point in submitting any other Metal Gear runs - any other MG runs they want to pair with Delta they'd want live as well most likely... 2/5

AGDQ 2025 marks the first time in several years I haven't submitted to a mainline GDQ event. I can't afford to attend being UK based, I have to run online, and online spots are extremely limited, so the chances of getting in are even slimmer than normal. I'm surprised online spots still exist... 1/5
