A jaw-dropping bird for this #EarthDay. A male resplendent quetzal perches in front of its nest with insect prey ready to be delivered to its young chick. One of many highlights from a recent trip to Panama!

Feeding time! I can’t wait to get back out on the water to watch and photograph some of my favourite species in a few months like this common loon. #wildlifephotography #commonloon #babyanimal

My favourite wild couple and one of my rarest wild encounters. A pair of lynx cuddled up before silently disappearing into the forest.

I’ve always loved this trippy photo of a northern hawk owl, perfectly balanced, on a precarious branch with the two undisturbed branches pointing straight up.

Last winter I spent several hours with a playful pair of ravens. I wanted photos when the wind gusts would blow snow and feathers around but these smart birds would take shelter behind my vehicle during most gusts 😅. I got the photos I wanted but it was harder than anticipated! #wildlife #raven

Last fall, while visiting southern Spain, I had the opportunity to photograph one of the most endangered cats on the planet - the Iberian lynx. This species is a conservation success story, with numbers jumping from 94 to ~2000 thx to reintro programs and prey rebounding.

I’ll be digging up old photos to share with new viewers as well as posting new favourites.

This is an all time favourite of mine while waiting for this owl to naturally emerge from its cavity, this red squirrel appeared. Neither animal was harmed and the squirrel quickly moved on. #wildlife
