The concert closed with some members of USA for Africa (many who did not perform during the concert) joining the day's performers for a live rendition of 'We Are the World.' Interestingly enough, Peter, Paul and Mary, joined the finale after rumours they would perform with Bob Dylan. #LiveAid40

Since the bill had more than 20 performers, the organizers limited each set to approximately 20 minutes. The stage featured a rotating platform divided into three sections to allow for one band to perform, one to set up and a third to take down.
