and add the tea as needed. To get the purple color, I only used the deepest blood oranges I had. Any that were too orange were made into a cordial.
Regular tangerine or even orange juice works just fine if blood oranges aren’t in season. If you do want alcohol added, I recommend a spiced rum.

Once again, I’m turning to Elva Ramirez’s book, Zero Proof, for this recipe. I use regular decaf black tea. It may seem like a lot of work and ingredients, but you can blend together canned mandarins, frozen pineapple, (i used lychee) calpico, and the blood orange juice together ahead of time +
