Mad keen trail runner into the usual inner city stuff: bikes, urban design, environment.

Secretary of Cross Country Skiing Association Victoria.
It's bizarre because 1. Our government doesn't support Iran and 2. Iranians are dying in their thousands already, us standing outside the embassy won't persuade them to stop slaughtering their own people.

I think men are just too emotional for leadership positions!

I still think it 20 minutes before 10am isn't great! Sydney does better than this I think

Ah right, it displays 'todays' minimum which I think is from 6pm on the same day, I'd thought it displayed last night's minimum. Thanks!

The app has the nightly low wrong, it was about 30.7 (thank goodness, if it was 38 a lot more people would be dying)

It would be better than building in boxes in streets! A lot of inner Melbourne would be keen on this sort of thing if it worked

Funny how Uhlmann is the first name that comes to mind. He used to be somewhat respectable in the 2000s!

It's a lot better than the attempt at creating pedestrian zones on the little streets, which has failed because of the kerbs and our inconsiderate city drivers. I gave up shouting at people not giving way!

Seems to be a celebrity rite of passage in the UK? I feel like most children's book authors in Australia aren't famous before?

Definitely has the worst algorithm of all! Just mindless (but inconsequential) rage bait. Usually something about reclining airline seats.

A bunch of notorious Zionist (and speeding ticket avoider) Max Markson's clients! Not just random sportspeople!

Wait until you see what they are doing to the 250/251 on weekends, instead of offsetting buses to create a consistent service, they will have buses within 4 minutes of each other and then half an hour apart.

She was just a Melbourne-based writer according to the Age, must be Chip le Grand's doing.

Apparently the fact her relatives witnessed a real genocide (the Holocaust) means that there is no genocide in Gaza. Makes my blood boil
January 9, 2026 at 5:45 AM
The line which got to me was "they had witnessed real genocide" which I read as a genocide denial in Gaza.

This is why people should travel with weapons, to destroy the fuck out of anything self-driving that delays public transport.
January 8, 2026 at 8:30 PM
Is it meant to go up Brunswick St or just to the start of it? Most of Chapel/Church St can connect to Route 11 with one stop only (Windsor, Prahran, South Yarra, East Richmond, routes 5, 64, 6, 72, 58, 70, 48/75 and 11/109). Maybe this would be better if it could go to Ardern in future?

I miss the sound of the Z1 and Z2s, the whooshing of the chopper (?) with the windows open!
January 6, 2026 at 8:44 AM
Why does it need increased width for "road presence"? It's better than an SUV but why do cars need to be wide to dominate other cars?

His proof was on a poster on the wall of my Year 7 maths classroom, I still remember he has a proof almost two decades later.

At Town Hall they were talking about an "FRV request" when saying why the trains were delayed in leaving
December 1, 2025 at 2:29 AM
Not sure the UFU have a lot of credibility after the West Gate opening either. Anyone have more info about what the request was?
December 1, 2025 at 2:18 AM
Need to go here! As a Victorian it is hard to believe it is an electrified service
November 30, 2025 at 9:24 AM
You would hope so, and who had an idea for a cross city line is definitely irrelevant!
