Happy 40th Birthday to Super Mario Bros! OTD (Sept. 13, 1985 in Japan) Super Mario Bros. was released on the Famicom! The game, which was released later in North America for the NES, defined my childhood and provided me with the fondness memories of growing up.

Went to Alcatraz yesterday for the 1st time. I found the trip to be very engaging. Even though we didn’t join a tour group, my family and I learned a lot by simply walking around the grounds. It reminded me of why prisons need to be abolished and alternatives used instead.

Last night, I walked the stage of The Greek Theatre of @ucberkeleyofficial.bsky.social. It was awesome to receive my B.A. in Political Science along with the other political scientists. The evening was great, including a funny and inspiring keynote speech by Josh Fryday. Now, onto SFSU for my M.A.!

I keep seeing on @yahoo.bsky.social these ads that say “seniors born 1941-1979…” I know the 20 yr olds in university think 40s is old but come on! According to this I’m only 3 yrs away from collecting social security.😂
