"I liked them until they got political..."

So, before their debut album?

We need a Billy Graham type to tell him that the first step is confessing your sins ... but who will get him to do that in front of a camera so everyone can hear exactly why he's so sure he won't make the cut.

I wonder how many of the NB people the respondents know are younger relatives. My nephew identified as NB for a while, and I'm quite certain that was 40 out of 50 family members' first direct experience with anyone NB.

It could also explain why so many people think schools are turning kids trans.

Reality has a liberal bias, so it's being defunded.

I would go with option 1 in most circumstances.

Unless I really, really wanted to do the social thing. (And I almost never really, really want to do a social thing.)

That implies that Cruise is developing a sense of humor.

The correct answer to this, as with so many things he says, is:

"Oh, grandpa."

Because that's what we say to our favorite old men when they spout off something ridiculous that isn't worth discussing.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

I loved Wayside School as a kid, and my students have loved those books every time I've read them in class. I look forward to seeing what Louis Sachar can bring to his grown-up fans.

Sure, you can make the argument that Republicans have degraded the common decency we used to expect in our political discourse, and Trump specifically has rewritten the book on how politicians should conduct themselves in public. But that's a more nuanced conversation.

I have been very confused by the responses to this post blaming Republicans. Louisville's last Republican mayor left office in 1969.

Racist dogwhistle and/or appeal to eugenics.

For my part, I have seen the coverage. I think the ad is tone deaf. I'm not outraged. I'll probably forget about this by tomorrow. (But I am not even remotely close to the company's target demographic.)

Once again demonstrating that many women are afraid of being physically harmed by men while many men are afraid of being made fun of by women.

These are not equivalent.

"We took 1.5 of the most toxic male fictional characters of the last 20 years and made them into an AI boyfriend."

Good plan, guys. No notes.

I am fully surprised to see a Republican advertising his plans to go to hell. It's an unusual flex, to say the least.

Wait, $94, or $94K?

Because if $94 is correct, I have so many questions.

I hope that journalists are keeping tabs on who buys this property and how the purchase price compares to current market rates.

Maybe this is what they're referring to. It seems disingenuous to equate Brown-Forman with Jack Daniels.

I'm working my way through it right now with a book club. It's bleak, and all of our conversations keep coming back to current US politics.
